Installation

The first step involves installing insulation material within the studs of the wall.

Concealing

The insulation is then concealed with a vapour control layer and plasterboard.

Type of insulation

Thermal laminate boards or rigid insulation boards are used as the preferred type of insulation.Plasterboards are mechanically fixed to the wall.

Decoration

The walls can be replastered after the process for easy decoration

External Wall Insulation

Measurements

Measurements of the property’s external walls that need to be insulated are taken.

Weather resistance

High quality weather resistant insulation boards are cut to fit these specific measurements.Insulation boards are fixed to the outside walls using screws.

Coating

A polymer modified base coat is then applied to the insulation boards followed by a glass-fibre mesh coat to the base coat. A grain textured silicon topcoat is then applied to complete the three layer system

Finishing

Our team ensures that ample protection is applied to windows and floors to protect them during installation.

Cavity Wall Insulation

Drilling

Small holes are drilled into the outside walls at regular intervals where stone and bricks are bound by mortar paste.

Installation

Once the pre-insulation stage has been completed, the insulation material, which is polystyrene bead, is blown into the cavity space using a specialist vehicle and appliance.

Refilling

The holes are then refilled once the insulation has been inserted.

Waterproofing

This ensures that the cavity wall insulation is secured and no water can enter the wall space.

*Note – The whole process usually takes around two hours to complete.
